Comments: Mike Herrin joked with me this morning and said see ya round the 7 min mark at the mile split - laughed and told him more like 8. Start was pretty congested, so once I fought through that, I felt I need to make some of that up - my pace felt good when I picked it up. Mile split - I hear Herrin say 7:14................wow, that is really fast for me! Quickest mile for me to date was 7:42 - so I knew rigt then that this was gonna hurt, so I might as well see how long I could hold it. Avg. 7:38 miles, so I really didn't fall off a ton after that. Found a couple runners I felt were at an equal pass and sat there for a while. What would you do differently?: Maybe more of a 7:30 mile split would have helpd - but no complaints here!! Post race
Warm down: haha - no warm-down for me - cheered a few teamates in - off to the dressing rooms and helped with pancake and sausage breakfast. What limited your ability to perform faster: Tank was on "E" Last updated: 2009-01-16 12:00 AM
