Comments: After last month's race in Washington where I started 20 minutes late due to ridiculous porta potty lines, I was happy to be in my seeded corral, right behind the elites. Hit the first mile at 7:03 and knew there was no way I could hold that pace. Hit the second mile at 14:16, and still knew that I was going faster than I should have been. However, when I hit the halfway point at 36:28, I knew that a PR was in reach, thinking that even if I averaged 8 minute miles for that second half I'd finish in 1:16 and some change which would be better than my previous 10 miler best of 1:17:47. I slowed down a bit for the second half of the race but managed to finish strong, with my last mile being at 7:06. What would you do differently?: Not a thing. I'm not sure that I could have run a better race. Post race
Warm down: Stood around in the pouring rain waiting to get my checked bag from the bus. Then started the long walk back to the stadium complex parking lot. Met up with one of my buddies who lives in Philly a bit later. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing. Last updated: 2009-04-22 12:00 AM

Drove from the hotel in Cherry Hill to the stadium complex parking lot in downtown Philly. Parked and got on the SEPTA, Philly's version of the subway.
Walked around the track where I picked up my race packet a couple of times.
