Subject: Wetsuit and Championchip/Watch Questions
Two question for those wetsuit vets. First, with the ankle championchip, do I put it under the wetsuit or below it on my ankle, in order to ensure the suit comes off quickly? Also, for those that wear full suits, will I be able to get my suit off if I'm wearing a watch (my big fat Polar HRM)? Thanks.

The chip goes under the wetsuit. I don't have a full wetsuit but I would imagine the watch goes under the sleeves as well. That is something you might want to practice

Under the wetsuit....

You can't get the wetsuit off quickly without either the ankle chip or watch being under the wetsuit.

That being said, if you have a calve cut length wetsuit... it would be OK to have the ankle chip strap exposed and on the ankle. Just make sure neither a watch or a strap is over the wetsuit... must be under the wetsuit or not in contact with the wetsuit.

For the watch question: I also have a big fat polar and during my 1st Tri I had it over my wetsuit sleeve and of course while taking it off I almost damage my suit. Anyhow, ever after every time I exit the swim leg I take my watch off 1st and then the rest of the suite. It takes a little extra time but nothing too crazy.
