Comments:

Got caught up in the crowd at the start and had to go slow. Ran about as I expected. A bit slower since I've cut back on my volume this year trying to recover from some nagging injuries. Tried to keep a steady pace throughout. I got a bad blister and had to run with it for the last 5 miles or so. Felt a little sluggish around miles 7-8, then picked it up toward the end. The last mile was my fastest.
What would you do differently?:

Run more in training. Not be injured.
Post race
Warm down:

Got some water and Gatorade at the finish. Walked around a bit. Jogged back to the car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Injured my foot early in the year and severely cut back on my volume. I don't think I've run 10 miles for more than a month.

Event comments:

This is one of the larger races in the Colorado Springs area. Decent overall prize money brought in some fast runners from Kenya and Ethiopia. This race makes a person work as there is very little that isn't either up or down.
