Swim
Comments: Was stuck in a pack for the first 200m and couldn't get out. Rest of the swim was good, I thought I was swimming well. Time includes a 200m run to transition, but we think the swim was short. What would you do differently?: Start on the outside like I normally do and not in the middle! Transition 1
Bike
Comments: This was a good ride for me, I got in with a really fast group near the end and pushed quite hard to keep up.. HR was around 165. I'm surprised my avg. HR was 154, every time I checked it was usually above 155, but I must have let my mind wander a few times. What would you do differently?: I think I can push this harder still. I need to catch those fast riders at the beginning and try to hang with them. Transition 2
Run
Comments: This was the 10 k from hell for me. I was REALLY done by km 5. No oomph left. I tried to run 10 min intervals, and then aid stations (there were lots of them!), then 6 min, then 3. It was really awful. Partially from not being prepared and partially from having 2 bouts of stomach flu and a cold in the past 2 weeks. I really tried hard to keep moving but it was pretty awful. What would you do differently?: Be more prepared! Post race
