The peer pressure is getting to me.  Must talk with the husband tonight and possibly break out my bag of tricks Wink  Anybody have any idea when this thing will be over?  I just got back from a cruise and now I'm leaving him with the kids yet again.

Not worried about the kids.  I just got back from a girls only cruise and my husband had to take off work to care for the kids while I was gone.  Just wanted to make sure he was OK with me being gone a chunk of Sunday.

He is fine with it so now I don't have any excuses.  I just have to decide which distance and whether I use the seat on my bike or get a new one between now and then.

My husband and I are doing the 100. It's our first long ride  but it seems like this a good one to do since it is not a 'race' and we won't be pushing against a time frame-more importantly...I get to ride my new bike for a LONG TIME!

My husband and I finished our first Century today!  We had a great time despite my getting off course with a lot of other riders...ended up rolling in at 104-so only four extra miles thank goodness. I had on a pink tank style top with a lot of other baby pink!  Everyone was very supportive and I thought the ride was well organized despite an apparent sign falling down which led many of us off a beaten path!  You may have seen fall off my bike at a couple of rest areas since I was adjusting to my clipless pedals

Had a blast today!  Busted out the 100 and hoisted a few beers afterwards.  Great to see you guys out there and meet some of you, finally.   I don't think we hit the first mile before some redhead in a bright yellow jersey went flying by.

Interesting about the signage.   I had no issues following the route.  That said......

if the sign reads <-----------   turn left.
if the sign reads  ----------->  turn right

Apparently the Marine Corps and the Army don't teach that.

LOL!

Great job everyone!!!!

Hahaha, I just think we were SO FAST that we blew the signs down with our speed and never saw them...ah well, what can you do but just keep riding!

I had a great time as well. It was nice meeting you TexasMPgal.

John, next time we will get you to navigate for Justin and me. But that means you'll have to keep up!

Had you been a real friend and prepared QUALITY maps for your BT crew (Mr Geographer), then maybe we wouldn't have missed the turn!

Like TxMPgal said... we were just flying on the course and blew the signs down.

Great ride everyone!  Totally enjoyed meeting some BT peeps!  train well ~ see ya out on the next course!

I got lost but I was not even looking at the signs...just following a group of people out of one of the transition areas.  A SAG car came and rounded us up and got us headed back on course with only four extra miles added on.  Next time I will pay more attention to the signs coming out of transition.

Did the 40 and had a lot of fun. Big up to all the people at the stations! Beautiful day for a ride.

To the person who went down literally 2 miles before the finish; hope you're okay.
