Up a little later than I wanted. Quick hydration and a banana.
Event warmup:

Freedom Park
WX 76F / 81% / Sunny / Calm

Completed as directed. Dynamic stretching. Nice and easy WU with 4x45s pickups to 5K race pace +. No unusual pains or aches.

Comments:

Took the pace out a little hot and knew I wouldn't be able to negative split it in this weather. Held on for the remainder of race for a solid finish. Felt the HR headed very high for last mile of race. Nothing left at finish.
What would you do differently?:

More water. Better nutrition.

Warm down:

Took it nice and easy for a cooldown. Nice upright form - no pains other than from race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need better nutrition and hydration. Didn't mentally prepare for this race like I do my triathlons.
