bcart1991 - 2009-06-22 8:11 AM Sorry to hear it, D. Heal up good and give 'em hell next season! How's the bike? (What, too soon? )

Bones heal by themselves.     bikes..   not so much.

I'm assuming with a compound fracture in multiple places that they are doing external fixation of some kind? My dad had that when he broke his wrist in two places, (Rollerblading at 55 y/o Undecided) and he was back playing golf in 6 weeks. Hop on the trainer, run if you can, and make it a duathlon emphasis for the last part of the season! :D

Sucks to hear, heal fast and well, and get back out there soon!

Is it inappropriate to say, "this post is useless without pics"?

Oh Dan that is bad news.  You were doing so well.  Don't be a stranger on the BT boards.  Stay tuned here to keep yourself motivated to find creative ways to stay in the game.  You met your weight/BF goal but the remainder of the goal is to 'stay there' don't let this get you completely off track.  You'll be back soon.

BUMMer for sure!  Like others have said - when the doc gives permission do what you can.  Ride the trainer, walk, whatever.  Will help to keep the mind intact.

Feel better soon.

Hey Man, get well soon.   It a good thing you are a triathalete, otherwise you would be hosed "big time".  You will training in no time.  Remember, no orthopedic injury is considered an emergency in the absence of a neuro vascular deficit.  That means you are good to go brother.
