Getting a professional fitting BEFORE you go bike shopping is really the best bet.

Because I had a fitting with all the ideal measurements I would want on a bike, I was able to narrow it down to only two brands that would fit me, right from the start. That made things much simpler.

If you are making the investment in a tri bike, $100 (or more) for a fitting is WAY worth it.

Yes, most likely a 54...I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam...I ride a 51 cervelo and it's almost maxed out in terms of seat height stem and all...but different bikes fit differently...if your unsure you NEED to get fitted to it.

5'9" here, 30" inseam, and a 54cm Cervelo fits like a glove. The 51cmm was way too cramped.

Point is, you can't tell. If you're unsure you NEED to get fitted to it.

I'm your height with a 35" inseam, and have been fit on: Small, medium, 51, 52, 53, 54... etc etc. Depends on the bike.
