Very weird though, they definitely had the 118th place up there yesterday! I saw it and read about it on Twitter too! |

Felt great - the benefits of the shuffle, shuffle run / walk of the IM marathon. OWS tonight at La Jolla Cove. Great White warnings be damned! Oh yeah, and for those who haven't seen it, I finally posted my race report. Just a warning - it is LONG. I'm looking forward to reading everyone else's reports. Have a great holiday weekend! Finally was able to do a swim but have not been able to get on the bike (kid schedule). Dying to, though!! Was gonna do a local sprint tri this weekend but have NO desire plus a kiddo with an all-day swim meet, so that takes precedence for sure. I continue to sleep a ton and wonder where the line is between laziness/lethargy and "recovery." |

At first I was sleeping all the the time plus at least a nap, if not 2, per day. Then I started to have issues falling asleep and I started back with some light activity and felt fine. But this weekend the sleep is hitting me hard again. I did an easy 3 miler earlier today and afterwards I came home and napped. And the nap wasn't enough for me- I've been tired ever since the run. Ugh- I'm ready for the tiredness to subside. I'm ready to feel strong again and get in some good quality workouts. But I'm not going to rush it either. |

Swimming seems back to normal, but as some have said, running is still well behind the curve. Don't know if you heard about this, but there is a local artist who takes a ton of photos each year as a non-official photographer. Someone gave me his business card before the race, and I was checking out some of his shots today. Very nic! He has some nic good shots of individual racers, but also some very nice 'race environment' shots. (Some of the aerial shots are cool!) I was able to find both a bike and a finish chute picture of myself. An even nicer suprise was finding that's only asking $5 for a 5x7 print. http://jeffmlewis.zenfolio.com/recent.html This isn't an ad for him -- I don't know the guy from Adam. Haven't been swimming all that much, but I've done a few hard runs with some tempo work and a couple of club rides with brick runs off the bike. Getting ready for a couple of local sprints and then Lake Stevens 70.3 in about a month. What's up next for you all? |

Thanks for passing over the website with the additional race photos. Another great option! I need to get a few of them ordered. I am feeling pretty good all in all. I did the Spudman olympic triathlon (yes, an Idaho thing) here in Boise this past weekend. I felt pretty good and did well! The recovery from the Ironman has not been as bad as I thought it would be. Although the first week I was very sluggish and tired. Another 1-2 tri's during the next month and 3 marathons during the September-October time frame. I hope to sign up for both Ironman Canada and Ironman Arizona for next year. Perhaps some of you will do the same? I have the bug! |

I get all choked looking at pictures of them holding the signs on race day. My 5 yr old son even had a blister from holding his sign all day!! Thank you to whomever made that for your support!! |

Looks like it will be me, my better half, and my oldest princess. The Hampton Inn at the Riverstone complex was top notch. I stay at a lot of HIs and this was one of the nicest I've been too. Free breakfast which they started extra early on race day and they were very accomodating to racers the whole time. It is about 2 miles from transition. Kids loved the indoor pool and I loved the hot tub after the race. |
