I haven't seen much action or talk on this Forum lately.  Where is everyone?

I was just thinking about this.  What is it with Oregon BTers?  I mean a post entitled Ignore this Post could hit more than 10 pages in a couple of days in the general section, and yet so little action around here.  Why is that Oregon?

I actually started the thread and thought the exact same thing.  When I have posted exact and specific questions I generally get good information so this has been helpful, but still not much dialogue here.

Shush. We don't want to let anyone know that the weather is great and terrific for training. Heck, there are no races here either . . . . . .

Okay, I think I understand now.  Oregon is the best place to live and to train.  So we are probably all out doing those things, and spending less time at the computer talking about our training.  But we must not let others know so that they don't think to show up here.  I've got it.  As I'm writing this, I realize that I will have to delete all evidence of this post shortly thereafter, so as not to reveal the truth about Oregon.  Well, happy training everyone.

The wind, the rain, the hail, they're all so jealous of us!

Going to be doing the Black Diamond Half at the end of September, the Portland Marathon in Oct. and Ironman Arizona in Nov. so I am actually spending more time training then posting, but I'll keep better track. Anyone else doing any of these events, always nice to meet new folks.

I am afraid my season is over with.  Need to curtail the spending of funds and now it is football season.  Too many ball games to go to.  I was thinking about doing Black Diamond Sprint, but my wife was hoping to have me back for a little while.  I took this week off and will begin developing a year plan for this upcoming season.

Looks like you have some other events planned for Oct. and Nov.  Good luck.  Look forward to hearing how you do.  I am planning on looking into some road races myself this winter to keep things going and push for better times in my run to be more competitive in my age group.

Take Care.

My wife and I are riding Cycle Oregon for the first time starting this weekend.  I plan to do the Run Like Hell half in late October.  After that, running and biking become support activities for my true passion - sking.  My Meadows season pass arrived in the mail today, so I'm ready.  Just need snow.  Seasons don't really end, they just transition.

I did the run like hell last year and it was fun. Part of the course was closed because of a mudslide so they moved the last 5 miles just a bit but didn't make a huge difference. It is a fun race with everyone in costumes and the scenery of running downtown with no cars to deal with.

Twas fun. It is a womens' only sprint triathlon that used to be called the Danskin. Swam in Lake Washington, biked across the I-90 bridge to Mercer Island and back, then ran around Genesee Park. Very well organized, lotsa support and encouragment for those M/BOPs like me.

I envy you.  I was finished with my Tri Season on August 5th.  It sounds like you had a wonderful time.  I had heard of the Danskins.
