I went to a lecture last night with Heather Gollnick... she said she doesn't always make every workout in her schedule... but she tries to make time... and gets in what she can... if she's supposed to have a long swim, but just can't make that work, she swims for as much time as reasonably possible, and then gets on with the rest of her day... she's also big on swapping workouts around... so that the schedule works for you... You don't work for the schedule... it's all about quality workouts... not quantity, or junk miles. Try to accomplish your fitness goals as best you can in the time you're allotted... I would have usually said I try to make up any missed workouts... but now, when they happen or if my planned workouts become truncated or shortened... I'm going to let it go, and enjoy the ( (unintended ) ) opportunity to recover! Whizzzzz |
