Pre-race routine:

Checked in got my number and shirt pre-race so I put it on number 124 on the shirt over to body marking and waited for the kids to finish and then over to the swim deck for a pre-race meeting. Nikki and Amanda showed up and watched which was great.
Event warmup:

Not much did some streching with a few guys who seemed to know how to really strech properly, back was hurting from work so this helped alot.
Swim
  • 10m 42s
  • 400 meters
  • 02m 41s / 100 meters
Comments:

Not sure about my swim placement, watch said 10:42 but the official time was over 11 min because I went over to get my stuff at other end of pool. It was a great swim 80% crawl and only about 20% breaststroke.
What would you do differently?:

Seed myself a little quicker maybe just behind the 10min guys and not put stuff on wrong side of pool.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Had to run to other side of pool to get stuff next time everything stays in transistion by the bike. It was ok had to dry myself a bit throw the shoes and socks on and helmut and made sure not to ride in transistion unlike guy ahead of me got a penality.
What would you do differently?:

Keep everything by bike.

Comments:

The ride was nice as it was a race I did push it harder than I normally would have. Passed a few and got passed by 2 overall I passed more than I was passed by.
What would you do differently?:

Put more air in tires I think they were a bit low.
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

This was fast got off the bike in motion just before the line ran to my spot dropped bike off went the helmut on went the cap and I was off running
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 36m
  • 5 kms
  • 07m 12s  min/km
Comments:

Ok run considering I rode hard just before it and was feeling it a bit by then. Mostley jogging and a few walks mainly over bridges and aid stations. Got passed by a few and I passed a few people near the end of the course.
What would you do differently?:

Run faster hopefully I can get it under 34 min in Walnut Grove.
Post race
Warm down:

walk around streched and chatted with Nikki and Amanda.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not being in the best shape. Getting there slowly

Event comments:

Good race just wish they had the aid station on the bike.
