Swim
Comments: Swim was OK...I left myself to the middle at the start since I wasn't wearing a wetsuit and thought it would slow me a bit. Boy was that a mistake...I got caught in a group of people who had NO idea WTF they were doing! Some were backstroking, dog paddling, crawling, ect. It was a F'd up swim start. In my attempt to avoid the pack of non swimming folk I had to go out into the middle of the river. It added a good 2 mins to my time but was worth it to be alone. What would you do differently?: Move to closer to the front. Transition 1
Comments: T1 was OK. I sat down and had to wipe the straw off my feet. Straw? REALLY...? Oh well...better than sand I guess What would you do differently?: bring a bottle of water to wash my feet, forgot one this time Bike
Comments: I felt good on the bike. I ate 2 gels and 1 bottle of Infinit. Drank water out of the areo bottle frequently. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Pretty much in and out. Grabbed a water flask to run with and a gel. What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: I felt great for the first 3 miles. Prob kept an 8:45 pace. Around mile 4 I felt a bit sick and tried to eat a gu. Didn't go down right and I chucked it to the side. Sipped water for the next 2 miles and HTFU for the finish What would you do differently?: nothing it was good Post race

Woke up at 3:30 am....had about 3-4 hours of sleep. Ate a bagel with cream cheese, gatordae mixed with water and a coffee on the drive to race site. Made it to transition and set up with no problems. Grabbed the goggles/cap and found a bus to ride to swim start.
5 min dip in the river for warm up. I chose not to wear a wetsuit and was happy since water temp was 75 degrees!
