Anyone doing Clear Lake Tri on July 18th? Looks like they will have chip timing this year. Here is a link to the website.

Yep, I'm in again this year (unless my wife has our baby that day).

That is great that it will be chip timed. That was pretty much my only complaint last year.

Did two laps of the bike course on Friday. There are a few short sections of new asphalt on the route which was a nice surprise. Also got chased by a very determined dog.

One of my favourites from last year.  Can't do it this year as my folks are in town from Scotland..but I WISH I could. Next year eh?

I am definitely doing this one, and I think my son will do the kids' tri.  Make it a family day up there.  It was a really fun race last year and will beat the hassle of Seafair/I-90 and the expense of traveling to Chelan.  Looking forward to another BT meetup!

I thought it was great last year. It will be even better to see splits (no chip timing last year). Lots of people who consider it one of their favorite races.

Sounds fun!  I finally mailed my registration today, so I hope I make it in! (This will be my second triathlon in less than a month and my second ever!)

Please be nice and sunny on the 18th!

I have had to change my commitment to this race from "for sure" to "maybe"--my back just started hurting so bad and if it doesn't resolve enough, I won't be able to race. Plus, my son was going to do the kids' tri and we were going to go up as a family--now he's had a bad injury to his private parts so may not be able to ride his bike...   I will keep you all posted.  I am stressed, which is probably why my  back went out.  Grrrr.  I will decide by Wednesday....

Well, dangit, I am not doing the race.....the back is feeling better but Duncan can't ride his bike, husband has to work, and I just don't feel like the 2-hr drive each way on my own....so sorry!  I will miss doing it, as it is so fun, but will be even that much more motivated to do it next year.  Take good notes!

Good luck to you all!

Good luck tomorrow everyone! I'll be there. I have 2 little boys and my wife is about 100 months pregnant so I should be pretty easy to spot. I'm looking forward to finally meeting some of you guys.
