Subject: Des Moines Marathon

Anyone done it?  It's October 18th this year so it fits our schedules and I've heard it is pretty flat.  Lisa and I are considering it, or at least the half.  

I'd appreciate any comments anyone has about it.

You are welcome to come up to my house on Sunday and we can run a half or more. I might be able to make some kind of a finisher's medal for you as well.

A friend of mine rant his last year and spoke quite highly of the Des Moines Marathon. One of the best in the midwest.

Hi Kevin.
I've ran the Des Moines full and it's not exactly flat.  There are no significant climbs, but there are a lot of short and steep rollers as you enter the neighborhoods.  These small "hills" are taxing but not siginificant enough to consider as a hilly race.

The Des Moines race is top notch and very well ran.  I highly recomend it.
