TDF "Versus" Fantasy League (Page 3)

Thanks Lou,  I still can not get into velogames from work and my network adapter died on my PC at home.  Dell is shipping me a new motherboard, but until then I can only check on Versus without your posts.

Yeah...and I'm still trying to figure out why I had he and Farrar on my bench today...must've been looking ahead to Stage 7...doh!

His name is Thor!  He has to be tough.  : )

ugh, That has got to hurt.  100 points sitting on your bench.  Maybe you should put him in for tomorrow's mtn stage to make up for it.   

I noticed that Karen is high enough up in the velogames that she has her team listed... pretty cool.  good job Karen.

The prize for the Main competition is glory and honour. ...

There are no prizes awarded for mini-leagues, as these are set up and managed between friends and colleagues of each other. Feel free to play for your own mini-league prize, but the official Velogames prize for each mini-league is simply the statisfaction of seeing your team at the head of the league standing.

I think we might could award a beer at Taco Macs after the Tuesday night ride after the competition is over though.

Velogames' update, through Stage 7.  Karen and Brent continue on their breakaway, but it's a long way to the finish and much can - and likely will - change during the next week, and certainly once the TdF reaches the Andes.

Yellow-nator team strikes two days in a row on VS game!  There is glory in them there hills.

I open my mouth...then pull a zero the next day...nice.

Velogames update, through Stage 9.  Two good days in the mtns vaulted Lou past Neal to regain 3rd place and move a bit closer to Brent.  Meanwhile, Karen continues to pedal strong.  There's still lots of excitement to come after tomorrow's rest day.

I hate to say this, but I though the idea was to use the tourament period as the game?????  First five stages were the shake out period.  No?

From my perspective, you kicked everybody's tail - congrats.  Indeed, the Practice Period was simply an oppt. to play around with rosters, etc.  The Tournament Period was where things counted.  I might've fared a little better overall if not for being at the beach last week with little to no I'net access, but wouldn've have come close to you/Team Jones/CadenceWins.
