77 Days to go!  How's everyone's training going?  Mine is coming along ok.  I'm going to start upping my running and cycling mileage next week.  I'm just coming off of Buffalo springs 70.3.  Happy training.

yep, hard to believe only about 10-weeks until the race. This will be my first IM distance event.

Draykus, I think you are slightly ahead of me on the training but I feel pretty decent about my bike and somewhat ok with my swim.  I have redeveloped PF issues and I have not run for over a week!  I'm going to give it a couple more days then I'm just going to have to suck it up a deal with it.  Not fun!

Anyway, good luck to everyone with your training and look for to meeting some of you in September!

I won't be there to race, but I will be there nonetheless. I did the half a few years ago and its a GREAT race! I am looking forward to meeting some more BTers as well. Best of luck to you all in your training!!!

Going ok here.  I feel behind due to training for BSLT though.  I'm finding it tough to gauge my fitness level in comparison to last year's IM because this year the heat is an issue.  Training for IMAZ in April last year during the winter almost feels heavenly right now!

Feeling pretty good.  This is my first full iron distance race so I guess I won't know how good I am really doing until race day.  No injuries so far-I'll take that any day.

taper?  nobody said anything to me about a taper!    actually my training has been all over the map...after tomorrow it will make my biggest week time-wise.  I'll take it easy the following couple weeks.  but yeah, the long weeks have been wearing me out (as well as my family).

just one week away...hope everyone's training went well!  This is my 1st 140.6 and I'm pretty excited (and nervous).

I need transportation on race morning.  I've contacted the RD and I understand there is no shuttle for athletes race morning.  If anyone is staying at the Marriot and could possible give me a ride to the start on race morning I would really appreciate it!  I can meet up in the lobby whatever time you are leaving...just want to be there in time for the start.

I have a vehicle but my family is with me and they will be sleeping in.  I would rather leave them the vehicle if I can.  Anyway, if someone has room for a skinny guy please let me know.

This is my first 140.6 and the nerves are kicking. I actually had a bad dream the other day about it! All of my gear was wrong, and I was wearing bluejeans under my wetsuit. Weird. I woke up totally freaked out and sweating!

I need to relax.

Race week!

I'm learning that the nerves kick regardless of whether or not it's your first or your second.  Just how am I supposed to focus on work until I head out Thursday???

Hey there kids hope everybody's ready to go. I'm doing the HIM and wondered ...

We can bring down a canopy for our jockstrappers if people will use it. WILL PEOPLE USE IT???

If not I'm not going to ask TriOK to bring it with her (she now lives in Denver and it's a long drive with limited space).

If people will use it, then she said she'll bring it. If not, then she won't. It's going to be warm and there's little shade out there so it'd be nice to have, but again I'm not going to ask her to drive that sucka all the way down if it's going to sit unused.

Yes? No? Maybe?

hey tony, if a canopy was available i am sure that my wife and kids would take advantage of it at some point during the race.  they won't be out there all day but probably will be for part of the swim and then the run portion.  so my vote would be yes...but again if nobody else shows any interest don't have triok bring it on our account. i assume something will be posted to know what to look for.  couple other things:

i am still looking for a ride to the start from the marriott

never been to okc...is this a dry state?  should i bring my good post-race beer from colorado?

We'll see if we get any other interest by tomorrow. She needs to know ASAP as she's leaving Denver Thursday afternoon.

I'd bring beer. I hear they don't know how to drink properly in Oklahoma.

My brother will be bringing a canopy as well and I'm certain he's bringing beer Cool.  I'll ask him how big the canopy is and if he would mind sharing.  I'm sure he would not mind at all, especially when there's beer involved.

Hi All!  Best of Luck!

When you see the volunteer in long brown pants (and possibly a straw hat) doing hand-ups at Bike Aid Station #3, holler "BT" and I'll tell you you're hawt.

(Turns out I'm on the bike course, not the run course.)

I was hoping to meet some of you BT peeps out there but that was not to be.  anyway, hope you all had a good race and made it through the mudfest afterwards!  this was a great event (other than the rain) and one I would highly recommend.  Congrats to all of you that finished!
