I'll start off by saying I am not a good swimmer to begin with. The fastest I can do a mile in the pool is 32 minutes. When it comes to open water swimming I am even worse. I did a mile and a half and it took 57 minutes. My fist mile was 38 minutes. So I need to get out there more and get these times down. It is so aggravating. Sorry for the rant.

Well, it would be tough considering your arm is in a sling.   *looking at avatar*

I wish the problem was that easy.

sympathies from another terrible swimmer, but, it can only get better.  I've just started getting some coaching with a tri club and it turns out I cross my arms over my head and wiggle through the water like a snake.  Pointing my hands to corner of the pool feels wierd and it uses different muscles but at least I now know what I'm doing wrong.  Hang in there but I agree, it sucks.

Ummm yeah...it takes me 50 minutes to do 600 yards (resting every 50 yards). Granted I started a month ago, just shy of being a non-swimmer but, dude-be extremely thankful for what ya got! I'm like a big cement block in the water.
