AC/DC - Thunderstruck (right before I had to get in the water for the start of IM Moo '07).

I know they won't play any Motorhead.

The heavier the better.  There are the older songs that will do like anything from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Only Living Witness, and I could go on.  The current new favorites are anything from All That Remains, As I Lay Dieing, or Slipknot (like Sulphur comes to mind as I type this).  I love music and it really moves me so the right mix can really get me pumped.  I sing in my head a lot when on the bike.

Jasper Mcvain - Revv me up

it's obscure but was featured on cartoon networks "Venture Brothers" when Brock loses his license to kill and has to workout montage to get it back.

Google it, it's a free track.

I was just watching a video on Youtube about the 2008 Ironman, and it had a soundtrack with it called Infinity or something. Very motivational!!

Don't know the name of the artist, but I feel like going outside and moving around some big rocks!!!

I'm going to watch it again before my next race!!

anything with no words and a solid beat. This could be classical, contempory, techno, I use it all. I just cant have the words distracting me and it cant be slow or somber (sorry no ballads). Some jazz is good for this also.

The other option I sometimes use, for some reason, is REM...it just does it for me when the above mentioned doesnt.

Very good choices.  I am begining to think there are more metal heads out there than I thought.  I just saw the new Killswitch Engage video after my ride and that got me all going.  I love that so much metal is coming out of New England nowadays.

My absolute FAVORITE song for gettin' pumped up is

Anthem for the Underdog - 12 Stones (Alternative Rock)

I also like...

Stonger - Kanye West (Rap/Pop)

So Cold - Breaking Benjamin (Hard Rock)
Broken Bones - Nonpoint  (Hard Rock/Metal)
I Know You Want Me - Pitbull (Hip-Hop/Rap)

I could go on a long list of my favorite songs... I like a little bit of everything.  Sorry couldn't link them all.

As much as I would like to I'm not, but my captain is!  Hope he does well, I'm still planning on doing my first triathlon in late August.  Still training up for it.  And lacking a bike (being why all my cycling workouts are stationary >.< )
