Subject: HFP Racing (Spirit of Racine)...trying to contact them
Hey folks!  I've been desperately trying to contact HFP Racing the race organization that is in charge of the Spirit of Racine half distance triathlon.  I've sent them 3 emails over the last 2 weeks, requesting to transfer my race entry to next year's race.  I read over their policies, and according to what is show on this site:
http://www.hfpracing.com/help/policies

it states that for a $50 fee, I can transfer my entry to next year's event.   However, all 3 of my emails have gone unanswered and there is NO phone number given to contact them.   Has anyone had any luck with contacting HFP Racing?  The race is a week away, and I'm starting to panic because I definitely cannot do the race this year and really want to transfer my entry to next year and it MUST be done before the start of the event.   Does anyone have a phone number or the name/email of a person at HFP that I can talk to?  Emailing doesn't seem to be getting the job done, at the moment.

Thanks for any help!

Linda

Hi,
I too had problems back in March. I was trying to get some sort of confirmation sent to me that showed I paid! It took quite a few e-mails and when they finally did respond it was as if I was an idiot for asking. In fact I think they told me that my credit card statement could be a confirmation (I don't think so..). Anyhoo, here's the woman who finally responded to me.. Maybe try e-mailing her directly. Good Luck!

Hey there...I was wondering if you had any luck with the email address?  I tried contacting them previously via the generic email to switch my entry and hove not heard anything back yet either.  How frustrating!

Hey, not trying to hi-jack your thread, and I hope you contact them.  But by any chance did you have a hotel room booked for this weekend?  I forgot to book one (thought I did, but I didn't) and now am scrambling.  Let me know.  Thanks.

Hi!  Yes, I did FINALLY hear back from HFP yesterday.  I got an email from a Dan Davis at their customer service.  He said it would be "no problem" transferring my entry to next year's event.  In his email, he said that he will remove my name from this year's participant list and then all I have to do is contact them in November (when registration for next year's event opens up) and they will send me a transfer code that I'll have to use to pay for the transfer fee.

I did have to send multiple emails, so if I were you...I'd keep sending them emails until you get a response.  I hope you are able to get through to someone.  I know how frustrating it is, so hang in there and hopefully you'll hear back from them soon.

Oh man...if only I knew of your situation LAST WEEK!!!  I did have a room at Fairfield Inn, but when I decided that I wasn't doing the race...I canceled it...DOH!  I'm sorry.  I hope you can find something by the weekend.

I heard back from Dan last night shortly after I posted - thanks for the feedback!

Schmize...sorry, I didn't have a hotel booked.  Hope you can find something!
