Comments:

Some pretty good size rollers in the big pond today. Once I was out of the crowd I got into a pretty good rythm. Got caught in the 1st sprint wave big cluster. Was able to navigate through somehow and find an open path.

Sucked down a Hammer Gel on the 1/2 mile run to transition.

Comments:

Lost it in the run- no kick and no stride. Need help in this area. Legs were not as tight as in Block 58. Had some joint juice on the bike and a hammer. Just couldn't get them to move fast. Got dizzy with 2 1/2 to go.
What would you do differently?:

Need to get some help with my run.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked aroung with the family- felt a little dizzy. Stetched. Had a banana.

Event comments:

First Olympic for me. A little bummed at my time. Was shooting for under 3 hours. Just glad I finished. I'll be ready to do another.

Good race Kelly.  I've never raced that long before and probalby am not good for much better than a 62 minute 10K after all the other stuff.

I have forgetten my bike computer more than once during a race and I have never missed it.  The important thing is just making sure your effort is where it needs to be much more than the actual MPH during any given section.

Keep it up for next time.

No worries...you'll definitely be under 3 hours at another Olympic.  That run from the beach and rough-ish swim add on some serious time!

I'm so jealous that you get to live and train in GH!  Me and my husband absolutely love it there and would love to at least have a condo or a cottage there someday for a weekend getaway.  You're so lucky!
