Swim
Comments: I had good position on entry on inside of buoy. I did not run into much traffic. Good tempo for me on the swim. Got out of breath after last buoy and navigation went haywire. Should have swam all the way to shore. I stopped early and waded through chest deep water. Guard gave me assistance w/ zipper on exit, which was most appreciated. What would you do differently?: Swim all the way to shore. Transition 1
Comments: I had to sit down to get out of my suit. I did wear my tri-top during the swim so that helped. Wet feet into shoes went slowly. I don't know if I can go sockless but that would certainly help. Rank 11/23 Bike
Comments: Starting feeling a little stomach discomfort on the bike. So, I didn't drink as much as I'd have liked but it was okay. I drank straight gatorade but think maybe I should go for dilute gatorade next time. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good transition. I struggled a bit getting the bike racked. Shoes went on pretty good. Run
Comments: Legs felt really stiff off the bike. I felt really slow but I was passing people. I picked it up as well as I could but would like to be faster. A couple of people just ahead of me in my age group but I was unaware of them. What would you do differently?: Need to do more bike run bricks. Post race
Warm down: None. Avoided the free meal. I drank a quart of chocolate milk instead, which seemed fine. I did have a little stomach distress early in the afternoon so I laid down. I ate a little (rather than a lot). By late afternoon I was back in shape. Last updated: 2009-07-03 12:00 AM

Breakfast: 2 waffles with peanut butter and syrup, coffee, small yogurt
Arrived at race at 6:30 and got a great spot in transition.
slow jog around lake (~0.5 miles)
Short swim around one buoy
Scrambled at last minute to put body glide on forearms
