Swim
Comments: Overall good swim. In water start cost time due to traffic. Got stuck behind people a couple of times. What would you do differently?: Can improve my stroke. Not lose technique due to fatigue. Transition 1
Comments: Could have done this faster, was a little winded after the swim. What would you do differently?: Attack the transition with more urgency. Bike
Comments: Completely unprepared for the uphill climbs. Had to walk to finish two of them. What would you do differently?: Train for climbing. Transition 2
Comments: Drank too much gatorade, causing stomach cramps. What would you do differently?: Drink less, wait for the water stations. Run
Comments: Found my stride once I hit the asphalt. Had to walk a couple minutes at the beginning due to stomach cramps. What would you do differently?: Hit the trail a little harder. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Did not train enough on the bike. Definitely did not train for the types of climb I would be facing. Event comments: Overall, I liked this race and will try to do it again next year. It is a good challenge at the sprint level. Two nutrigrain bars, yogurt and a banana. Arrived 1:15 before the race.
Jogged for 5 minutes. Got in water and swam for 10 minutes.
