Swim
Comments: Well...This was a lousy swim and it wasn't because wetsuits weren't allowed or because of the muck that was in the water or the fact that people were climbing all over me in the water. I simply have to work on my swimming What would you do differently?: Not much today. Overall I would just work on swimming more and better. Transition 1

Comments: I was trying to work on pushing it a little but my legs were TIRED - right from the start. I pushed through. I'm thinking at some point I'm going to try doing sprints with a taper, even if it's just one day :-) What would you do differently?: Nothing much. This was a decent day. Transition 2

Comments: I kept it nice and easy today. I felt good overall. There was one hill that had my legs tired today. Nothing I could do about that since I'm training for a half IM. What would you do differently?: Nothing much except, as mentioned above, maybe take the day off before a sprint. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Just being a bit tired. I also didn't sleep well last night which probably didn't help. Event comments: I like this race. I've done it twice. I would do it again. Last updated: 2009-07-18 12:00 AM

Same crap different day here. Woke up, drank coffee, ate a peanut butter raison bagel and off I went. I ate fairly early so I had a power bar a little closer to the race.
I got into the water a bit mainly just to get wet but I did a little bit of swimming.
