Swim
Comments: I did OK considering it was only the 5th time I swam this year. For the first time ever, I did a little swimming in the roped-off area before the race started - this seemed to help a little bit with getting my breathing going the right way. What would you do differently?: Pull harder and go faster in the second half of the course. Transition 1
Comments: I was too slow getting my suit off. What would you do differently?: Just go a little faster. Bike
Comments: I didn't practice hill workouts enough; my legs were tired by the 20 mi mark and were beat by 25 mi. What would you do differently?: Do more hills in training. Transition 2
Comments: Did a good job of remembering where my bike rack spot was. By the end of the bike, my stomach wasn't feeling too good. Run
Comments: My stomach was in bad shape for the first 1.5 miles, then it got better. My pace on the second 5k was faster than the first 5k, but my stomach was bugging me again at the end of the race. What would you do differently?: I need to figure out a better nutrition plan - the Acceleraid and Clif Shot Blocks aren't working for me. Also, when I dump water on myself during the run, only dump it on my head. I had what felt like an extra pound of water in/on my shirt. Post race
