Comments:

Road strong the first half, finishing first 35 miles in 1:35. Second half took considerably longer. Had a rear flat at 38 miles and a second rear flat at 48 miles. I only brought one tube and 2 CO2 canisters, using up both. Was ready to give up and wait for SAG vehicle, but after I refused help (and thanked them) I finally gave in after the second ride marshall stopped to offer assistance. It would have taken a while for vehicle to come along so we fixed the flat and started moving again. Only problem was that after I resigned myself to packing it in, I drank the rest of my water on the bike. Next rest stop was at about 60 miles. I was slowing down a bit but made it to the rest stop. Made a quick pitstop, drank a bottle and half and filled it back up and got back on the road. At mile 64 and the rest of the way in I started having severe cramping in my inner quads. I hammered through it and I'm sure I'll be paying for it tomorrow. Second 35 miles took approximately 1:54 minutes (19 minutes more than the first half). Definitely went out too hard.
What would you do differently?:

I could have eaten more (only eating GU gummies and a MOJO bar) and should have stopped at an earlier rest stop to fill up with more liquids. Drank appox. 72 ounces for the first 2:15, it was the last third of the trip that I needed more fluids.

Event comments:

Well supported, ride marshalls were all over the place and saw SAG vehicles early on in the race. I would definitely do this one again.
