Comments: Took it out comfortably since I wasn't too sure how to pace a run other than a 5k. Crowds were annoying the first mile or so, took me that long to get into a rhythm. Kept an eye on my HR, keeping it under control. Pushed harder the last 5k for sure, with a sprint kick at the end. What would you do differently?: Learn to pace it better, keep it more even keeled, maybe a little harder throughout. Probably could have gone a couple of minutes faster with the right pacing. Post race

Got up fairly early, had some breakfast. Waffle w/ peanut butter, endurox/protein shake, coffee. Parents picked me up (the whole family was doing the 5k) and off we went.
Real light jog and some stretching. Legs felt a little heavy before the start, so I was a little concerned.
