*sigh*

I didn't see this before, Spokesy.

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Fish had a great post.

Hang tough. Get organized. Be there for your Mom.

I'd steal her cigarettes myself, if I could.

Best to ya Scott. You have a lot to be thankful for and she has a lot to be proud of. I hope everything goes as well as possible for you and your family.

Thank you.

Just time for a PSA - if you have a loved one that smokes - like my Mom has done since a teen, a 1/2 pack of Pall Malls a day - do anything you can to STOP THEM FROM SMOKING. I told her on the phone that her prognosis and the therapy would work much better if she quit - even at this stage, and she screamed at me - literally - "The doctor didn't say ANYTHING about that!"

Its a terrible addiction.

That sucks worse!  I'm sorry to hear about the word from the oncologist.  But I'm sad that she can't quit too.  It's like the doctor's trying to bail-out the rowboat with a coffee mug and she's cutting more holes in it.
I really hope you can talk her in to stopping when she calms down.  My wife's grandfather was the same way as was my buddy's dad.  They smoked until the end.

Hang in there brother!
