In a discussion with my wife on the day of my first triathlon... I kind of decided that I might want to do the Eagleman next year.  Not sure though if next year is right for me.  I want to get another sprint in and then an Olympic this year as I ease into this sport.  Does it fill up long before the race date?

it fills up fast.  i can't remember exactly...a week or two maybe?  three weeks?  whatever it was, it was a small window.

Been there...done that...got the shirt (and medal) to prove it.

I liked the course, but the fact that I started in the next to last wave was awful for me.  I was virtually alone on the bike course and although I saw people on my run out (they were coming back), I ran the last half alone.

I know triathlon is an individual sport, but I feed off others and their energy.  If I knew for sure that my AG would be starting earlier I would consider, but I cannot make that kind of financial commitment and then DNS.

Eagleman 2009 was my first HIM and I am planning on returning in 2010. Well run, great volunteers, fair course and close to home. Highly recommend it!

Sorta depends.  If I can have it all, yes.  Meaning if I have the time & $ to do a training weekend or two in LP and also do Eman, then I would love to.  But if it was one or the other, I would pick training in LP.  So who knows!
