Comments:

Pretty flat course (thankfully!) Started well. A bit too well it turns out. My splits for the first couple of miles were 7:05 & 7:10. My pace at the end was much slower.
What would you do differently?:

Try a slower pace for the first couple of miles so I've got some gas in the tank for the last couple of miles.
Post race
Warm down:

eat, cramp up & then jog around a bit before heading off to relatives for 4th of July festivities

What limited your ability to perform faster:

being old. and running too fast at the beginning of the race
