Pre-race routine:

Parked at the high school and took the bus to the start line.
Event warmup:

light jog and some stride outs, kissed the wife for good luck (for both of us)

Comments:

First run since my injury. Mileage is really low and went in as a fun race. Held pace until mile 9 and fell off. Just what I expected for the day. Recovered very well.
What would you do differently?:

Warm down:

First post race massage. I believe it made a big difference in my recovery.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not training for this race.

Event comments:

Expo sucked. $10 to park to pick up your bib or hunt in an area with limited parking. Nothing really at packet pickup to speak of. Course was nice, through vineyards and rolling hills. Finish line was great. Wine tasting, band, nice park area and overall good time. They had some descent wines too!!

Course: .5 mile hill right in the beginning then rolling the rest of the way. Much hotter this year than last year. Aid stations every 2 miles with water and HEED. No nutrition due to litter worries.
