They're calling for a high of 95 with a heat index of up to 105. Any tips other than hydrating well to deal with the extreme heat?

went by the place to do my packet pickup and there was about 75 people in line (outside in the rain)  waiting to get there packet.

Pretty sure you get to pick when you go by how you line up for the race

the site says you line up by your expected swim time. the last tri i did (which was my first) they had an announcer shouting out times and if you were in that group you would line up with the others. i expect this one to be similar.

What time did you go get your packet?  I was planning on going after work, but don't want to stand in the rain.  And Naperville Running Co. isn't big enough to have that many people inside.

Rick 1234 was right. Last year you just lined up in your estimated swim time section.....in no particular order!

Yeah....the line yesterday was crazy long; it took almost an hour to get everything.  The time passed by pretty fast though since I managed to have some good conversations with folks around me.

I couldn't believe how many people are registered.....almost 2000.  I was expecting around 800.

2300 is huge.  The pool is going to be a washing machine, and there will be a a lot of unavoidable drafting on that small bike course.

Small number goes on the front of your helmet, and the big number goes on the top tube or seatpost of the bike.  You can look at old race photos and see where people put the numbers.  Hope that helps.  See some of you tomorrow morning.
