Subject: I met Chris Horner today
He made an appearance at a local Trek store near me, so hubby and I stopped in. Our timing was perfect, as NOBODY was talking to him. He was just sitting at a table, so we walked up, shook his hand and chatted for a bit. He's in town for the Chicago Criterium in Grant Park tomorrow...and then next weekend, he's doing the Tour of Elk Grove in Elk Grove Village. He's a tiny, little nothin' of a guy...LOL! No wonder those pro racers can ride so fast...there's nothing to 'em! Anyway...he gave us 2 free autographed Trek shirts...so that was way cool. He's really a nice guy and I hope he does well in tomorrow's race.

Ya know...we did ask him about that...since we saw Lance's interview yesterday and how he said he'd like to have Chris on his team and all. Chris told us that he hasn't officially started any discussions about joining Lance's team, but that he was honored for being considered and will have to wait and see what transpires.
