Subject: 2010 Tour de France PREDICTIONS?
Well, now that the tour is over for this year, does anyone have some predictions they'd like to make for next year.  Let's organize it a little:

1) Winner, Polka Dot, Green, White

2) New teams that will be in/out?

3) What big names will be on what team?

I predict:

1) Yellow- Contador.  I hate his guts, but he's great.  KOM- Pellizotti.  How do you not love that guy?.   Green- Cav.  I think he'll learn how to climb a Cat 2 and will fend-off some attacks to win middle-sprint points.  White- Kreuziger.  He did great and was even toward the front on the Ventoux.

2) I think Radio Shack will bump Skil Shimano since they looked a little outclassed out there this year.  But I bet with the loss of AC, LA, (likely Klodden, and Levi) Astana will be unable to draw talent to surround a convicted dope like Vino and the tour won't invite them.

3) I think LA will take Klodden and Levi with him and then make a move for some young guys like Feillu (he was talking to him often during the tour) and maybe Kreuziger (also talked to him often) maybe, he'll bring Phinney up from the developmental squad to start the tour.

Thoughts.

I'm interested to see if the rumors of a new team started by Fernando Alonso will emerge with Contador as the team leader.

Before yesterday I thought for sure George Hincapie would be back with Columbia but after the interview on Versus yesterday I think he will be back with Lance. He didn't give any suggestions that he would be but he is not signed with Columbia for next year and Lance could use another experienced climber with him. If this was the case you could potentially have Kloden, Levi, & George as strong support riders. Along with a few other riders people have mentioned above it should be a strong team.

Don't forget Horner.  Dude was riding like a beast leading up to the Tdf and if not for politics he would've been on Astana.

I have to wonder if the French will invite three American teams, especially with two of them having a history of being so successful and the new one being headed by Lance Armstrong.  That's got to chafe them somewhat.

Im not so sure about AC in the yellow next year. Especially with LA building his own team on RadioShack. Contador may be the better rider but I think Lance has the mental edge on him as far as being able to assemble a team that is complete and will be a very good contender. Not convinced that Contador is to that mature level yet to know what it takes to make a team that will be great every year.

But I do agree with you Matt about not liking Contador

AC in yellow.  I hate him too, how can't you??

Cavendish in green.

Levi gets revenge and places 4th or 5th.  Hopefully teammates with Lance again.

Podium is the same as '09.

If he does, looks like it will be on team BMC
