Swim
Comments: Much harder than I anticipated, lots of scrambilng at the start and a nightmare at the end where we clashed with the classic racers. What would you do differently?: Get out in front, warm up, practice more! Transition 1
Comments: Times combined with the swim What would you do differently?: Work out a better way of getting the suit off and possibly get it off as soon as I get out of the water. I ran with a load of water in the bottom half of the suit and that can't have helped. Bike
Comments: Good cycle - this was the bit I enjoyed the most, not too hard but a steady pace throughout. There were a lot of people on the course so I did feel a bit forced to the side but I'm not sure if that's self induced not wanting to get in other peoples way. What would you do differently?: Different bike might help, more training would and loose weight! Transition 2
Comments: Combined with bike and swim time. What would you do differently?: Get off nearer to the line. Run
Comments: Really tough at the start but settled into is and seemed to go O.K. Need to get fast though as I was painfull slow! What would you do differently?: Train more, loose weight. Take the time to press my footpod. Post race
Warm down: Chatting with Bro and GF. Coffee and cake! What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of fitness and excess weight. Breathing on the swim and the run. Event comments: Tope race - hope to do the sprint next time!! Last updated: 2009-07-28 12:00 AM

O.K. but they gave out the wrong info about the start so was dashing about at the last minute. Racked bike then got into wetsuit and went down to the lake for the briefing - no specific warm up.
