It was warm enough to ditch the wet suit when I went in during the 2nd or 3rd week in June.

The website for the Sharon tri says it's in the 70's typically right now, so I would think it's fine for racing/swimming without the suit.

I've been swimming twice at Lake Massapoag. There are 2 beaches there. The one on beach street, Memorial Park beach is for Sharon residents. A small group goes on Sunday mornings - early like 6am before it opens for the day. Once it's open you have to have a resident walk on/parking pass. The other side - Community Center beach - directly across from Memorial Park (it's way on the other side of the lake) is for everyone - but you have to pay a $10 walk on fee) The water is warm.

Just curious.  If you park at the HS and walk to the beach to swim would it be a problem.. Just asking.  not that anybody would ever do this...

Yes, I hear that some people do park at the HS and walk over if you go early enough to use Memorial Beach. Community Beach has parking across the street from the beach (it's free).

I agree, if you go alone early enought nobody even notices... just dont bring the kids the dogs and the floats.. And the beers... then you may have an issue.
