Comments: hate goggles.....why is this an issue?? wasted time with leaking. It was diffult to site with the sun angle and my tinted goggles. What would you do differently?: better goggles, more confidence (nervous about being kicked) Transition 1
Comments: blah Bike
Comments: again lost time by stopping at the beginning to check clicking noise - assuming from bike-clock magnet. hammered then! of course being so short i now realized could've hammered harder!! i saw some lamas - beautiful course. Roads looked familiar from riding with my dad. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: shoe tie things... Run
Comments: went out too fast....again! Saw terri (joe runner), scott had already finished...and became too excited....looked down and saw 7:14s ha ha! but who cares!! of course slowed down and was in awe of the super fast people on the other side of the road. caught up with some newbie ladies - yelled encouragement. capable of faster time.... What would you do differently?: control my little self Post race
Warm down: warm- down? it was chilly!!! sandwich, chips, beer (actually good beer). chatted with donks kim, jim, jesse, terri, scott, bt ross, jeanne, chris, sandi, travis, stacey. chatted with several other people i knew....social hour. not used to beer as a cool down....started to get a headache - more water me thinks. awesome that jeanne, chris and pam received hardware!!! What limited your ability to perform faster: my focus....the big race was week before. hadn't been on the bike since and didn't really care. i just wanted to enjoy the day and be happy for the new ladies.
