Subject: RE: Wetsuit Care Soak it for more than an hour or so. I usually soak mine overnight. Soak it BEFORE you try to stretch it, or try to put it on. If you have any fingernail marks, rips, tears, etc, use some rubber repair, or AquaSeal before you soak it, and definetly fix these before you try to put it on the first time. Rinse thoroughly inside and out with clean water. If you need to clean it, use a very light detergent, or a hair shampoo - I use baby body wash for the inside "lining".
Don't use Armor All. Whoever told you to should be shot. Petro oils and products will damage the suit.
Tips:
1 ) Cooking PAM helps to get the suit on you easier.
2 ) Wear socks when putting it on, or plastic shopping bags on your feet.
3 ) Body Glide on your shoulders/neck.
4 ) Clip your fingernails and toenails before, so you don't accidently rip it. |
