I'll leave the interpretation of "tri-geekiest" up to you.

I was inspired to post this when I added my latest swim cap to...

...my complete, chronological, collection of swim caps from all my tri's.

(Which is about to enter its third year.)

Took a picture of my transition area and bike at last race.  My friends/family who looked at my pics  were all like "why"???   I dunno

While watching the chi running video I stood up at my desk and moved my pelvis up and straingtened out my neck to try and figure out how I can improve my running form - yah thats geeky.

The only websites I have on my tool bar are for Swim, Bike, or Run! People at work talk about you tube videos and all I know are triathlon videos.

Layed all my gear out the night before the race to make sure I had everything, then took a picture of it and was all proud about it.

Constantly recalculating expected race times based on current training pace (I know useless)

Spending way too much time posting on BT (and lurking on ST, since I can't bring myself to post there)

going up to strangers and asking if they're a triathlete..... MOST the time I'm right. They have a different look than JUST runners or cyclists.

I check out calves all the time. I have to admit to checking many a woman's calves and starting conversations with, "Wow you have great calves. Are you a runner or cyclist?"

No joke.

Drink a bottle of wine with my wife but think about my 25 mile ride and my weight lifting session in the morning.  Yep, I just got punched in the shoulder.

Oh yeah, and I'm on BT and it's Friday night.

I listen to tri and endurance sports podcasts in my car all the time.
I visit BT many times a day.
I flew to Kona just to watch the Oct 82 Ironman and I didn't know anyone in it.

Not so much tri-specific, but a long time ago when I was swimming laps I'd get in the pool to swim 4500 yards (90 laps).  I'd count:

1/90
2/45
1/30
2/45
1/18
1/15
7/90
4/45
1/10
1/9

I made myself an inclinometer and then drove my bike courses with it taped inside my car....for no good reason other than just to know the grade of the hills on my bike route.  I'm embarrassed.   Thats geeky x10.

I do the same thing except it is with bib numbers (my complete, chronological, collection of Bib numbers

...including the breakdown of the race times on the back of each one (Swim, Bike, run, T1, T2, total time and overall placing!)
Perhaps it is just a little obsessive compulsive

...And are you implying I don't have that collection, too (along with my swim caps)?

Moan that I can't increase my weekly minutes because there are no sports catagories that cover playing twister with a five year old.
