Comments:

It was a tough a start of the bike fight the wind for the first 1/2 of the first loop but once I got down wind I started to fly. Drank full water bottle but Saw a steady stream of sweat coming down me as Rode the bike.

Passed a ton of bikes. There where a ton of bike parts scattered on the course including multiple bike computers and even a pedal sitting in the middle of the street.

What would you do differently?:

work on sprint distance run again.

work on flying dismount

Comments:

Had the worst 5k time I have had in the past 3 years. I was excited at this section because on the Monday before I ran a 22 minute 5k.

Started out and was just to hot and need to walk. Stopping was bad idea because the muscles in my left leg decided to freeze up.

Fought my way through the rest of the run alternating between walking in running

Post race
Warm down:

Grabbed a water bottle and 2 handfuls of ice. Felt very dizzy after the race. The ice melted on my head almost instantly. Must have looked very bad because someone came over and asked if I needed help.

My foot is still sore a day latter

What limited your ability to perform faster:

need more warm weather practice

Nice race.  I think when you finally got on the course it was much hotter with more wind than when I was on the course.  What could have been an easier 5k course was difficult yesterday with the sun/heat/humidity.  I think most had a worse than usual run.

I left late enough to see about the top 50 people come in before I goto in the water.
