Is ther a difference between a Blog and the logs?
I would like everone to post the averge times in all three events so here are mine.
Swim 2min/100 yds for 500 bike 14.5 Miles/Hour for 10 miles Run 14:38/Mile for two miles.
Iam interested to see if most of you are having as much trouble with the run as I am.
here is a brief into it was posted on another thread
Hi All I am Dave and I decided to try tri and see if I could get in some kind of shape. I am 51 and started 5/22 on that date I weiged in at 237 with a 46.5 inch waist and 34% body fat.
Today June 25 I weighed in at 225.4 with a 44.5 inch waist and 31.5 % Body Fat.
I teach school so I decided i would train relly hard during June and July since I do not have to work. I lift weights 4 days week and Run, Swim and bike 3 to 6 times a week for each.
i started running with .5 miles and it took me 12 min. I started swimming for 5 min I added time and distance each time I worked out. My last run was 1.5 miles in 18 min and my swim is now 20 min for around 500 Yards. I got a Bike two week ago and added that in. My longest distance is 10 miles in 41 min. I am going to do a sprint in August. The main reason I decided to try tri was to give me anothe goal instead of the scale. While I am loosing a a good pace some time the scale does not move for a week then it will drop 4 pounds in 4 days. In the past this has got me down and I gave it up. I think this will work better. I am cleaning up my diet eating 5 meals a day. My calories are any where from 1400 to 2300 I try to zig zag them to fool the old stravation responcse. I hope you are all doing well and reaching for your goals
