Swim
Comments: Ok swim for the time I put in training. First time wearing a tri suit, and it felt good. What would you do differently?: Not much, considering my main focus has been marathon training as of late. Transition 1
Comments: Average transition. Didn't have to worry about the hassle of getting a wetsuit off. The long run to transition from the swim finish is quite long though. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: Once again, little time on the bike during training due to the marathon, but otherwise I felt fine. Much stronger than last year. Transition 2
Comments: Quick transition. A little tough getting the Garmin watch strap on, but nothing major. Run
Comments: The out was mostly inclines, the back was somewhat downhill and was able to make up some time. Unfortunately my training has been focusing on endurance, rather than speed work. And I sure as hell haven't been doing any bricks, so this run is what it is. What would you do differently?: If not training for a marathon, then I would have trained exactly how I did leading up to Columbia earlier in the year which is a much tougher run course that I PR'd on. Post race
Warm down: Jumped in the lake, took in some fluids and grabbed some food and a milkshake to refuel! What limited your ability to perform faster: Marathon training! Last updated: 2008-12-15 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30. Showered, ate (drank) some breakfast. Headed to the race site.
We were able to swim in the lake at the finish area, so I was able to get in about 20 minutes of quality warm up.
