Any of my tri-buddies here play golf?

I love golf.  Seriously.  Awful at it most of the time, but I love it.  Had a great week, too...so flying high.  For those who understand and appreciate golf:

Birdied 12 at Fraser on Friday after narrowly missing an eagle putt
Eagled 18 for my first "regulation" eagle ever
Shot 84 for the day (which I think may be my "low" round) with a 44/40 (40 was my best 9 ever)

Shot 82 today for my new "low" round
Including 2 8s and a birdie on the front and two bogeys and two birdies on the back.
What's that? 2 bogeys and two birdies?  Doesn't that add up to even?  Oh right, it does!  I shot frickin even par for 9 today.  I've never even broken 40 for 9 before...much less a 36.

What a round, I'm sailing!

So, in words we understand - is that like you breaking 10 hours for an IM?

Kidding - nice work!

Hah, nice Doc - a 36 in bowling is amazing!

I hear you on the "out to have fun" thing.  A lot of people do that and it's great.  I've had rounds where I've played so badly that I've stopped keeping score and as a result had a lot more fun.

I am a good golfer, I love golfing. But now when it comes to Green fees vs. Race fees....I get to pick just one.......nice game and an Eagle on 18 kinda makes you have to come out again huh? Nice job, Fraser is one of my favorite courses!

I'm a fairly good golfer-about a 5 handicap, and a fairly bad triathlete-about a 25 handicap.
I would gladly up my handicap by a stroke for every minute I could take off my 5km time   Or every minute I could take off my swim time!

Gotta go play sometime!  I understand the green v. race fees issue, though.  Super pricey sports that we've chosen.  I can't wait to go play again.  I was up on the peak at Whistler yesterday looking down on the three courses and just aching to grab my clubs and go play!

BBB - I'd probably reverse your trades.  I'm an "unofficial" 18.5, so my golf is as stinky as my tri'ing (maybe marginally less smelly, as my tri'ing is awful).  But I'm way more into golf.  I just love the damn game.

I love the game also.  Shot a 79 yesterday and on the 11th hole had a 3.5 foot put for my third birdie in a row but it was a side hill put and just missed it on the high side.  Been able to get my index down from 14.9 to a 12.2 so far this year so it is moving in the right direction.

Nicely done, Shawn!  3 birdies in a row is something I could only dream of!  I was flipping at getting 3 in one round (one in any given round is special for me!) on Sunday.

Sounds like we've got some top notch players here.  Time for a BT golf outing!

Well as you know as a golfer some days it is there and others it isn't.  That same day I had a 7 and an 8 so it is up and down.

Golf = Waste of 6 hours of good training time. I just can't bring myself to swing a club 110 times when I could be out doing hill repeats, sprint intervals or honing my skills in the water.....Wii golf however, FORE!!!!!

Nice golf score but haven't played it in a long time.  I probably would have more strokes on a golf course than minutes in a sprint and thats a lot.

Was once told by my wife that her hands hurt and she was tired after playing golf...Isuggested that my hands would hurt and I'd be tired if I hit the ball 120 times in a round too.......

Of course she's now my "ex-wife".......

That's the game in a nutshell!

Played a sunset at McCleery today...ran out of daylight, but shot 38 on the front!!! 3 more birdies (8, 9, and 11...had eagle putts on 9 and 11).  We played through to 16, but 14, 15, and 16 were basically dark.

Quite a day!
