Swim

  • 01m 32s / 100 yards
Comments:

Breast stroke the whole way- too cold to put my head in. Flashes of heat on my arms and tingly feeling. Feet were numb by the time I got out. They say the course was shortened "A little" but I think it was a lot.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 1

Comments:

Had to pin right side of number on jersey and stuck myself good
What would you do differently?:

Get a race belt if I use the front zip jersey again

What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 2
  • 02m 3s
Comments:

Had to change into thick socks for the big shoes. Forgot air in the bag of my jersey after about 10 steps, went back and tossed it onto my heap.
What would you do differently?:

Have the right size shoes
Run
  • 35m 52s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 11m 34s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt a lot easier than last year but still took about 12 minutes to settle in. Picked it up a bit near the end and kicked it at the end- it was awesome!
Post race
Warm down:

Walk and catch breath.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Fat, old and not enough training.
