Pre-race routine:

My regular breakfast at 4:30, woke up the little people at 5:00 drove to manitowoc sipping on some gatorade, drop the littles of at grandma and grampas. Piced up packet, set up transition.
Event warmup:

Swam the course along with a few out and backs. Stood around wondering if I would ever be able to feel my hands or feet again.

This was the coldest water I have ever swam in after the first bouy I got a face/ mouth full of cold water that really through me off

Pray for warmmer water

I could not feel my feet until about Mile 1 not sure if it was from nearly freezing them off in the lake or not but it was a very strange feeling.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

The cold water definatley got in my head. Once again my run time really needs some work

I enjoyed the race it had a nice small town informal feel to it.
