My wife Robin and I are in for the sprint. Has this race been wetsuit legal in the past? I can't find any water temps. My swim training has been non existent and i could use the help.

It's a bit earlier now, but in it's first year at Pontiac Lake I had to scrape the frost off my windshield when I left home and the water was fricken cold in a quick john suit.  With the recent temps and forecasted temps I'd have to believe your going to be wearing your rubber come Sunday

Speaking of rubbers, I saw a few at the bottom of Spring Mill Pond today. Not to hijack a thread, but it's a fact. Think I'll be back at Trout Lake for the next OWS.

Y'all have fun out there this weekend. Big weekend for tri's in fact: IM Louisville, MI Champs, Breakwater HIM...

I just went and drove the bike course.  There are several good hills out there, plus enough rollers and low grades to make this a fairly challenging course.  The road conditions are actually pretty good, with the exception of inside the park right out of transition and Teggerdine is not all that great - definitely not terrible like some of the Kensington roads though.  I think the challenge for me is going to be pacing myself on those hills so that I've got enough left in me for a 10k run.

One question for those who have done an oly before, is there usually a bike aid station to get a refill of water?  I'm a little afraid that I might run out and be parched by the time I get back and I sure don't want to be dehydrated going into the run.  I might just wear my fuel belt with 2x10oz bottles to go along with the profile bottle and my cage if there's no aid station.

Coop.  I don't think I've ever done a 3D event with an aid station on the bike and I'm quite certain there was no aid station at the 2007 event at Pontiac Lake.  Bring your own fluids for the bike.  No worries on the run there were a few out there but with the temps you'll be blowing by them anyways.

With your training in and around Kensington you'll kick arse on that course!  I enjoyed the ride there.

Coop, you will be fine for the oly. I always do it with the profile on the bars and a bottle on the down tube. I will be enough for you. They will not have an aid station on the bike course. According to the weather you could probably just look up and open your mouth if you need more fluids It is supposed to be cold and rainy so that will make this much more fun!!! See you out there.

With the temps scheduled to be in the low 50's, is anyone planning on wearing a jacket for the bike? I don't have arm warmers and don't want to be too cold on the ride. What temps do you normally wear an outer layer?
Thanks and good luck to everyone tomorrow.
