I find that I get a Saturday off that I originally thought I had to work. Its a week before my first triathalon and there are quite a few great things happening that day that would give me some great training/race experience. But its not an easy decision - I am very pulled at what to do. So I thought I would pose to my fellow BTers, what would you do the week before your first tri?

If you've never been to or seen a tri, volunteer and check it out. You'll have that much more confidence on race day and a real appreciation of the volunteers. You may even meet some people doing the same race as you the next week.

I vote for volunteering, too.  Do something with registration or body marking so that you'll be free to watch the whole race.  You can peruse the transition areas and see how some set up their areas, as well as check out the bike eye candy .  Likewise, you can see people of all ages and abilities fight for those extra few seconds that everyone wants to lose.  It's a great thing to watch as well as participate in.

You should volunteer as a stripper for the event -- gotta love those people.
