The water is cool, low 70s and 60sih air temp makes it feel colder. Wetsuits won't be an issue. Road conditions are bad. I would say half the course is in rough shape with deep water. Anyhow, figured I would pass along my observations from driving the course and taking a quick swim

Ugh...Thanks for the heads up.  Depending on when the rain stops we could be in for a very wet day.  I am beginning to regret not investing in a wet suit yet.  On the list for next year!

Well, I went to Lakeville today from Providence to pick up my bib number and race pack.  Of course it seems I went down there in the height of the storm and it was uber wet out there with huge puddles everywhere through the transition area and lot.  On a positive note the rain seems to have stopped for now and things seem to be drying out here in Providence.  I am hoping it's the same for Lakeville.

I am psyched for this race but also super nervous as it is my first oly.

Just as an FYI I'm bib number 1186 if anyone wants to say hi.

See you all tomorrow and good luck to all of you.

OY -- I got a wicked cold -- up coughing half of last night and totally clogged sinuses that sudafed isn't touching -- oh and chills too -- so I think I'll be staying home and not racing the OLY -- I'm very disappointed, but I'm really in no shape for racing.  Good luck to you all and I look forward to reading your RR.

Tri_again:  Sorry to hear about your cold.  Hope it gets better soon.  Hope to see you at some other race.

Water is nice and cool.  The past few years it had been too hot for a full suit.  I swam a bit at the height of the rain today in a sleeveless suit and it felt great.  With all the rain water, the lake is bigger and deeper, so no issue of shallow areas where you might scratch your fingers doing crawl.  Larger area means more space and hopefully less traffic jam.

Don't know about the bike/run course.  But chutes leading to TA have a few puddles that looks deep.  TA looks drier than I though, at least it is not flooded like Mooseman 4 years ago.

Rain has stopped, and wind picked up.  Forecast said wind gust overnight, hopefully it'll help dry up the road and TA a bit.  Will be kind of chilly in the morning but will warm up as the day progress.

The day was perfect for racing. No sun, overcast - not hot - just perfect! Great race. This was my first Cranberry Race and I will be back for sure!
