tri_sport19 - 2009-11-06 2:27 PM Bob and Mike - any idea how the Syracuse bike course profile compare to Musselman? Just want to have an idea of what I'm getting myself into!

You're getting yourself into another great race in upstate NY with a bunch of great people from BT!! What more can you ask? The hills on the bike are going to hurt a little more in Syracuse than Musselman (but you probably won't have the first 25 frickin' miles into a headwind!). The run in Syracuse is going to be much "friendlier" on the legs (but there probably won't be any bongos). Last but not least I have to assume that the food and the overall treatment of the athletes is going to be better at the Musselman.

I'm a little partial to the job Jeff does than Ironman in case you couldn't tell.

It will be great to see you again Matt!! I'm looking forward to both races!!

alicia123 - 2009-11-06 2:24 PM I'm signed up, too. This year so far it's Rev 3 in June (Connecticut) and Syracuse. I'll be sitting by my computer to see if I can land a spot in Florida next November. I'm really looking forward to Syracuse, though! Hopefully I'll see some of you there...

This is exactly what my season looks like so far!  I did a relay last year at Rev3 and am looking forward to doing the whole thing by myself, and Syracuse should be awesome--hilly, but awesome!!  Hope to see you at both, and good luck registering for IMFL.

I also agree with Marmadaddy and Stocks on Musselman v. Syracuse.  The run course at Musselman is TOUGH, but the bike in SYR will be harder for sure.

Thanks for the input. I'll be happy to have a flatter run after 3 years at Musselman, although I'll miss the bongos!!

Unfortunately I'll probably be missing Musselman in 2010 because of work. Jeff sets the standard as far as "being taken care of" is concerned, I'm curious to see how close the IM brand can come to it.

does anyone have any input on what kind of weather we might see in September? Does this course have potential to be windy?

September is a crap shoot. At the Finger Lakes Tri it's ranged from hot summer-like days to cold, wet and windy.

So the only guarantee is that we will definitely have weather.

As you can possible tell from my screen name, I have a little info to share. Normal high and low temperatures for Sept 19th are 70 and 50. Record high of 89 and record low of 34. Sunrise at 6:49am and sunset at 7:07pm. That's all my weather calendar tells me. I should know more by September 17th
Leaves are changing and usually this is a nice time of the year for those who live around here. Considering we just got 18" Thursday and Thursday night.
